Mr. Audie C. Jones, 54, died Thursday, March 30, 2006. He was a native of Brewton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julia and Grant Jones; a son, Ivory Miller and a brother, Ernest Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie Miller Jones of Killen, Texas; five children, Clyde Miller, Darly (Talvin) Curry and Daphne Smith, all of Brewton, Cynthia (Jerry) Pearson of Killen and Thadius (Elisha) Thomas of Pensacola, Fla.; two brothers, Willie (Jodie) Jones and Theodore Jones, both of Cleveland, Ohio; 18 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 6, at 2 p.m. at Zion Fountain AME Zion Church with the Rev. H.K. Matthews officiating. Burial followed at Baptist Hill Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
