A $61,000 rural telephone project to serve farm families and small community businesses in the easter section of the Brewton exchange area is now under way and is tentatively scheduled for completion June 1.
Approval of construction of a public utilities building by Southern Bell Telephone Co. on Evergreen Street has been granted by the Board of Zoning Adjustment.
Miss Sara O'Bannon, a senior at Miller High School, will be presented in a piano recital Thursday, April 26, by Mary Brown Earnhardt in the local school auditorium.
