The Thrift Store on the campus of Southern Normal School will hold its biggest bag sale ever on Saturday, May 16. All proceeds went to the maintenance of Southern Normal School.

Two T.R. Miller Tigers, Steve Dasinger and Charlie German, have been invited to participate in the East-West All Star baseball game in Jackson on May 17.
Auburn University will conduct a computer needs analysis study for Escambia County at a cost of $10,000. They used the funds to study the county's current operation and the feasibility of using low-cost computer technology to assist the county in improving operation.
