Mr. Jessie Lee McCraney, 82, died Tuesday, June 27, 2006 in a Pensacola hospital after a brief illness. He was a native of Santa Rosa County, Fla., and had long-time resident of Wing. He was a member of Rock Creek Apostolic Church and a retired surveyor from the U.S. Government with 33 years of service.
He is survived by a son, Rocky (Vanessa) Lucas of Rock Creek; three daughters, Joan (Hughdon) Holley of Baker, Fla., and Linda (Barry) Vaughn and Ann Presson, both of Rock Creek; one sister, Rochelle Brooker of Crestview, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Vernelle McCraney of Wing; nine grandchildren, Keith Holley, Gary Holley, Jeremy Douglas, Jonathan Howell, Jennifer Thornton, Jessica Lucas, Justin Lucas, Christopher Deck and Julie Ann Lucas and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 30, at 11 a.m. at Rock Creek Apostolic Church with the Rev. Charles McGhee officiating. Burial followed at Rock Creek Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
