Ernest C. Dunn, 81, died Friday, Aug. 25, 2006, in a Pensacola hospital. He was a native and life long resident of Brewton. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of North Brewton Baptist Church, where he served as music director for a number of years.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Dunn of Brewton; a son, Chris (Lynne) Dunn of Montgomery; a daughter, Eva Dunn (Jack) Potter of Sanbornton, N.H.; one sister, Vivian Kennedy of Brewton, and two grandchildren, Rachel Lee Dunn and Joshua Oliver Dunn of Montgomery.
Visitation will be held today, Sunday, Aug. 27, at North Brewton Baptist Church from 2 p.m. until service time.
Funeral services will be held today, Sunday, Aug. 27, at 3 p.m. at North Brewton Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Williamson, the Rev. Michael King and Dr. Rev. Burl Oliver officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Mamie L. Dunn Scholarship Fund at North Brewton Baptist Church.
