Smokeout offers many benefits
Three communities in Escambia County have made great strides in recent months by banning smoking in most businesses, restaurants and public buildings.
Now individuals can join the club by participating in the Great American Smokeout, which takes place Thursday.
The Great American Smokeout encourages smokers to quit - although it recognizes how hard that can be. Smokers who want to quit need willpower and a good support system to kick the habit.
