In their most recent six games, the Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawks baseball team has gone 4-2 to move their overall record to 12-14 and their conference record to 7-5.
Playing at Bishop State last week, JDCC swept the Wildcats 3-1 and 8-3.
At Enterprise Thursday, JDCC split as they won game one 9-8, but lost game two by a score of 5-4.
Facing off against Enterprise again on Saturday in Brewton, JDCC lost game one 8-7 and won game two 3-2.
JDCC will host Alabama Southern Thursday at home at noon. The game will be a conference game and will be a nine-inning and a seven-inning doubleheader.

Game one: JDCC 3, BSCC 1
JDCC trailed Bishop State 1-0 after one inning but scored three unanswered runs to get a 3-1 conference win. JDCC’s runs came in the fifth, sixth, and eighth innings.
At the plate, Riley Stokes, Greg Ciangiotto, Brandon Goins, Chad Simmons, John-Mark Cosby, and Brandon Davis all had hits while Craig Headley led with a 2-for-4 showing and a double.
On the mound, Nick Boswell and Chase Laney pitched with Laney being the pitcher of record.
Boswell went the first 3 2/3 innings and allowed four hits, one earned run, walked two and struck out three. Laney went the final 5 1/3 innings and allowed three hits, walked one and struck out four.

Game two: JDCC 8, BSCC 3
In game two, JDCC built an 8-0 lead after six innings to get the sweep of Bishop State. Bishop scored all three of their runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Riley Hodge and Nick Helton held BSCC to only three hits as the two pitched in the win with Hodge being the pitcher of record.
Hodge went 5 2/3 innings and allowed two hits, three earned runs, walked three and struck out six.
Helton went the final 1 1/3 innings and allowed one hit and struck out one.
Stokes, Ciangiotto, Justin Abdo, Simmons, Headley, Cosby, Davis, Brandon Bilek and Heath Young all had hits. Cosby and Bilek had a double each. Simmons and Headley both had two RBIs each while Ciangiotto, Cosby and Davis all had one each.

Thursday game one: JDCC 9, ESCC 8
Leading Enterprise 9-2 after seven innings, JDCC held on for a 9-8 win Thursday.
The Warhawks led ESCC 3-1 after one inning and 3-2 in the second inning before getting three runs each in the fourth and sixth innings to get a 9-2 lead. ESCC added four runs in the eighth inning and two more in the ninth inning, but the Warhawks were able to hang on for the win by one run.
JDCC used four pitchers in the win with Tyler Joyner earning the win and Chase Laney earning the save. Nick Helton and Matthew Gillis also pitched in the win.
The quartet of pitchers combined to go nine innings and allowed 12 hits, eight runs, none earned, walked two and struck out four. JDCC made four errors in the win.
At the plate, Ciangiotto had a hit and one RBI while Brandon Goins was 1-for-1 with a double.
Headley went 2-for-4 with a homerun and two RBIs for the Warhawks. Cosby, Caden Lodge and Brandon Davis all had two hits with Lodge and Davis having two RBIs each.

Game two: ESCC 5, JDCC 4
In game two Thursday, JDCC suffered a one-run defeat as ESCC claimed a 5-4 win.
JDCC led ESCC 4-3 after six innings, but gave up two runs in the bottom of the seventh to take the loss by one.
JDCC had only four hits in the loss with Stokes and Goins having one hit each and Headley going 2-for-4 with a double. Stokes had two RBIs and Taylor Baynes had one.
Garrett Davis, Abdo and Dalton Edwards all pitched in the loss with Abdo being the pitcher of record.
Davis went five innings and allowed seven hits, three runs, one earned, walked none and struck out two. Davis also hit one batter.
Abdo went 1 1/3 innings and allowed two hits, two earned runs, walked and struck out one. Edwards allowed one hit.

Saturday game one: ESCC 8, JDCC 7
In game one Saturday, JDCC blew a 7-4 lead as they surrendered four unanswered runs to Enterprise to suffer an 8-7 loss.
The Warhawks of JDCC led ESCC 7-4 after four innings before giving up one run to ESCC in the sixth and seventh innings and two in the top of the ninth.
At the plate for JDCC, Stokes, Cosby, Rivers and Heath Young all had doubles in the loss. Stokes and Rivers had two RBIs each while Headley, Davis and Tyler Joyner had one each.
Goins, Headley, Cosby, Davis and Joyner all had one hit each.
On the mound, Riley Hodge, Helton and Laney all pitched with Laney being the pitcher of record.
Hodge went the first six innings and allowed 11 hits, five runs, two earned, walked none and struck out five.
Helton went 1/3 of an inning and allowed two hits and one earned run.
Laney went the final 2 2/3 innings and allowed four hits, two earned runs, walked none and struck out five.

Saturday game two: JDCC 3, ESCC 2
JDCC ended their two-game losing streak in Saturday’s second game as they edged out ESCC 3-2. The game was the fourth straight one-run game between the two in the series.
JDCC led ESCC 1-0 after one inning, but fell behind 2-1 after the top of the fourth inning. From there, JDCC scored one run each in the fourth and fifth innings to get the win by one.
At the plate for JDCC, Stokes, Cosby, Bailey Hansen and Davis all had one hit each while Craig Headley had two hits. Stokes, Headley and Davis had one RBI each.
Stokes had a homerun and Headley and Davis had a double each.
Nick Boswell and Matthew Gillis both pitched in the win with Boswell earning the win and Gillis taking the save.
Boswell went 6 1/3 innings and allowed five hits, two runs, one earned, walked two and struck out four. Gillis went the final 2/3 innings and struck out one.
